          Welcome to my humble portfolio website.   My name is Nikolai Ivan Mohilchock, and I have been a designer working in the video game industry for over five years.   I specialize in single-player level design for the first-person shooter genre, using cutting-edge technology from studios such as id Software, Epic Games, and Monolith Productions.

  • Update: April 27, 2009 - My new domain is live!   Welcome to Nick.Mohilchock.com!   Nearly all the content from the previous website has been transfered to this new domain, and soon you'll be able to download a number of my publicly released levels right there on the site!   There's some major updates to the Unreal Engine 3 section, including info about a new map!   In addition to that, I've added a new "Miscellaneous" section that includes much of the non-gaming print and design work I've done from years past.   Check back soon for more news and details.


  • Update: April 9, 2009 - The Unreal Engine 3 page is updated and live!   Check out the screenshots of what I've been working on recently.


  • Update: March 27, 2009 - I updated the rest of the site to be much quicker to navigate with the addition of "Back to top" links in every major content category.   Enjoy easier browsing!


  • Update: March 26, 2009 - I've begun work on my Unreal Engine 3 page.   It will feature the latest work that I've been doing using the editor for Unreal Tournamnet 3 and Gears of War.   I've also updated the FAQ page and the Design page to be easier to navigate.


  • Update: December 11, 2008 - My FAQ page has been updated with another Q & A.


  • Update: December 10, 2008 - The F.E.A.R. 2 page has been updated with new images.


  • Update: December 7, 2008 - I've added the Design page, which talks about some of the basics that I've learned and where I see things going in the future.

          On this website you will find screenshots of my professional work, as well as the many community designs I have released over the years - everything from Call of Duty to Quake 3 and more.   You will also find brief stories about what it was like working on these levels behind the scenes, and various information concerning what work I was credited with during development.
